SEO Speaker · Keynotes & Workshops

An SEO speaker your room can actually use on Monday.

I speak about how search actually works now — the technical SEO that moves rankings, how AI search decides who to quote, and the local and structured-data details most stages gloss over. No motivational fog, no slide of buzzwords. Fourteen years of doing the work, handed to your audience as steps they can run themselves.

What is an SEO speaker?

An SEO speaker is someone who presents at conferences, corporate events, and team trainings on how to earn visibility in search — and, increasingly, in AI answers. The good ones aren't reading headlines back to you. They're practitioners who do the work daily and can translate it into something a room walks out and applies.

That last part is where most keynotes fall down. It's easy to fill forty minutes with trends and screenshots that age in a quarter. It's much harder — and far more useful — to give an audience the actual mechanics: how structured data gets you cited, which technical fixes are worth the engineering time, what AI search has genuinely changed and what it hasn't. That's the talk I give. I'd rather your audience leave with three things they can do than thirty things they should think about.

I've spent fourteen years on the doing side of search — founder of Salterra Digital Services, lead instructor at SEO University, and co-host of the SEOST conference in Chandler, Arizona. So when I'm on your stage, what I'm describing is what I shipped last week, not a case study I read. If you're weighing speakers, here's what I think separates a talk that lands from one that just fills the slot.

Signature talks

The sessions I'm known for.

Each one runs as a keynote, a breakout, or a hands-on workshop, and each is rebuilt around your audience — agency owners, in-house teams, and small-business operators all need a different door into the same idea.

Formats

Keynote, breakout, workshop, or remote.

I'll fit the slot you have. A 30-minute keynote to set the tone for an event, a 60-minute breakout with real room for questions, a hands-on workshop your team works through together, or a fully remote session for a distributed audience. Whatever the format, it's built for your room — I ask about the audience and the outcome you want before I build a single slide.

Not sure which fits? Here's how I'd choose between a keynote and a workshop for a given event and goal.

On the circuit

Conferences, events, and the stage I help run.

I co-host SEO Spring Training (SEOST) in Chandler, Arizona — a working conference built on tactics people are using right now, not recycled case studies. Running a stage like that means I know what a strong session feels like from both sides of the mic: what keeps a room awake, what they actually remember, and what they'll still be using a month later.

Beyond SEOST, I speak at SEO and digital-marketing conferences, in-house company trainings, masterminds, and podcasts across the country. If you organize an event, I'm happy to talk through where my topics fit your agenda — and honest about where they don't. A few angles I'm regularly asked for: the broader marketing-conference keynote for mixed audiences, the AI-search session for teams trying to make sense of the shift, and the agency-owner talk for rooms full of practitioners.

Why book a practitioner

What you're really paying for.

There's no shortage of people who can talk about SEO. What's rarer is someone who still ships it — who can answer the question behind the question when a hand goes up, because they hit that exact wall on a client site recently. That's the value of a practitioner on stage: the talk holds up under follow-up.

It also means the content is current. Search changes fast, and a keynote recorded against last year's playbook quietly misleads a room. Mine gets rebuilt because the work keeps changing it. If you want to know how I keep a session tight and useful, here's how I prepare a talk — and the questions worth asking any speaker before you book.

Based in the Valley, available to travel.

I'm in Tempe and serve the greater Phoenix metro in person, and I travel nationwide for the right room. For everything else, a live remote session does the job without putting travel on your budget.
